If I have several boards that I cut 3/5 off each one and end up with 4 boards of equal length, how many boards did I start off with?
1 answer
Inadequate data. To end up withy 4 boards after cutting, you must have had 2 to begin. However, cutting 3/5 would not leave you with equal lengths.
