Ms. Sue I know there were improvements with many things but....I know it's not A or C...and issues improved ...but tensions also increased. If I said B - it was short lived...and there is evidence that D is correct.

I decided it's D....is that right..?

Tensions between the U.S. and Communist countries had little to do with Latin America.

It's not D.

it's not my day....it's B...thanks

The correct answer is B. Relations between the United States and Latin America improved.

To arrive at this answer, we need to understand what the Alliance for Progress was. The Alliance for Progress was an initiative launched by U.S. President John F. Kennedy in 1961. Its goal was to promote economic development and social reform in Latin American countries, with the aim of countering the spread of communism in the region.

To check the outcome of the Alliance for Progress, we can examine historical records and evaluate whether there was any improvement in relations between the United States and Latin American countries during the period of the initiative.

Historical evidence shows that the Alliance for Progress did lead to improved relations between the United States and Latin America. Following the launch of the program, there was an increase in U.S. aid to the region, and several development projects were initiated. Additionally, the initiative helped foster cultural exchanges, educational programs, and technical assistance between the United States and Latin American countries. These efforts contributed to a period of cooperation and closer ties between the two regions, with increased trade and diplomatic relations.

Therefore, the correct answer is B. Relations between the United States and Latin America improved as a result of the Alliance for Progress.
