brianna is 100% correct, but for those of you that want to make sure the letter answers arent mixed up here is the same answers but with the full answers, not just the letters:

1. Generate the first five terms in the sequence using the explicit formula cn=12n-11
C. 1,13,25,37,49

2. write a recursive formula for the sequence 5,18,31,44,57,... then find the next term
B. a1=5;an=an-1+13. The next term is 70

3. Write an explicit formula for the sequence10,9.5,9,8.5,8...then find a8
A. an=10-.5(n-1), a8=6.5

4. is the sequence arithmetic? If so, identify the common difference. 13,20,27,34,...
A. yes;7

5. Find the 50th term of the sequence 5,-2,-9,-16,...
C. -338

6. Find the arithmetic mean an of an-1=3.9 and an+1=7.1
B. 5.5

7. Find the 110th term of the sequence -7,3,13,23,...
A. 1,083

8. Find the second and third term of the arithmetic sequence -7,_,_,-22,-27...
D. -12,-17

10: The table shows how the number of sit-ups Marla does each day has changed over time. At this rate, how many sit-ups will she do on Day 12? Explain your steps in solving this problem. (essay question)

My answer:
21 — 17 = 4
the rule is +4 so to figure out how many situps she will do on the twelfth day we can find out how many more days we need:
12—5=7
then we can multiply the number of days by 4
4 x 7 = 28
then we can add it to the amount she did on day 5 and we get the amount she did on day 12: 28+33=61

we can also do it this way:
4+4+4+4+4+4+4 (4 x 7 = 28) + 33 =61
marla did 61 sit-ups on day 12
