Solve the Given Equations
1. 5/2y+6+1/y-2=3/y+3
2. 5/a-5-1=a/a-5
3. 2/x^2+x-12-6/x+4=2/x-3
4. 65-n/n=4+5/n
5. a/a-2+2/3=2/a-2
6. x-1/3+x+2/4=1/6
7. 5/3x-1/9=1/x
8. 3/3x-2=4/2x+1
9. 3/x+3-1/x-2=5/2x+6
Two problems here:
1 . without brackets, it is hard to tell what the equations really are
e.g. I am pretty sure that
#1 is 5/(2y+6) + 1/(y-2) = 3/(y+3)
then:
5/( 2(y+3)) + 1/(y-2) = 3/(y+3)
the LCD is 2(y-2)(y+3)
so multiply each term by that ...
5(y-2) + 2(y+3) = 6(y-2)
5y - 10 + 2y + 6 = 6y - 12
y = -8
2. looks an awful lot like plain homework dumping.
