I disagree with you on #1. I agree with you on #s 2, 3, and 5.

I think #4 isn't a good question because the first three of those verbs are action verbs. The fourth can be action or linking, depending on the context.

Well for 1, I was going for either A or D, but I went with D.

4, and action verb would have to include action wouldn't it?

#4 was correct, I got 100%, thanks for your help. :-)

so what was the answer

1. When summarizing an informational article, it is important to include as much information as possible. However, this does not mean including every single minor detail. The goal is to capture the main points and important information while omitting less significant details.

2. Scientists may choose to categorize scientific information in a summary to provide readers with a quick way to understand a complex subject. Summaries serve as condensed versions of the information, making it easier for readers to grasp the main points without getting overwhelmed by the details. This allows the information to be more accessible and relatable to a wider audience.

3. The statement that is true about action and linking verbs is that some verbs can be either action or linking verbs depending on how they are used in a sentence. An action verb typically expresses a physical or mental activity that can be done. On the other hand, a linking verb connects the subject of a sentence with a noun, descriptive word, or phrase. However, some verbs can serve as either depending on their usage within a particular sentence.

4. Bounced is the correct answer as it is an action verb. Action verbs, as the name suggests, describe an action or activity that someone or something does. Bounced describes a physical action of an object or person moving up and down forcefully.

5. The verb in the given sentence "Hawaiian pizza always tastes good to me" is a linking verb. Linking verbs are used to connect the subject of a sentence with a noun, descriptive word, or phrase. In this case, "tastes" links the subject "Hawaiian pizza" with the description "good" to convey the taste or flavor.
