How would I write a formula to multiply the number in cell z675 times the number in cell a1

These are very simple formulas to write. I did two for you the other day, plus I included a link to help you learn.

What do you not understand about these?

I don't know how to do any excel

Did you read any of those how-to links I sent?

If you don't know how and you don't have a teacher who will explain, then you should think about dropping the class.

=(Z675*A1)

= - shows that it is an equation
() - are used for grouping
Z675 - is that cell
* - multiplication
A1 - the other cell

To write a formula to multiply the number in cell Z675 by the number in cell A1, you would use the multiplication operator (*) in your formula.

Here's how you can do it:
1. Start by selecting the cell where you want the result of the multiplication to appear. For example, let's say you want the result in cell B1.
2. In the formula bar, type an equal sign (=) to indicate that you are entering a formula.
3. Then, type the cell reference for the number in cell Z675, which is Z675 in this case.
4. Next, type the multiplication operator (*).
5. Finally, type the cell reference for the number in cell A1, which is A1 in this case.

So, the complete formula would be: =Z675 * A1

Make sure to enter the formula correctly and press Enter. The result of the multiplication of the numbers in Z675 and A1 will be displayed in the cell you selected (B1 in this example).
