What is Viscosity
Viscosity measures the resistance of a fluid to motion when adjacent streamlines move at different velocities. When multiplied by the velocity gradient, it provides the shear stress.
If you were pouring liquids from a can or beaker, using the same beaker and tilt angle, the most viscous liquids would have the slowest pouring rate.
Both gases and liquids have viscosity.
