How do you cite this quote in MLA format?

“The flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all.”

I'm having issues because the quote is said by Mulan in Walt Disney's "Mulan". Do I say Mulan says it or the Walt Disney Company? How do you format this in an essay?

You should incorporate "Mulan says," into your sentence, and include the title of the film in the sentence, too.

Then in your works cited page, you list the film in detail.

See three films listed in MLA format.

Keep in mind you need to give credit in two places:
1. ... in your sentence/paragraph
and
2. ... on your works cited page

If you're unclear about all this, read further:

You need to have each source of information cited in TWO places:

1. the Works Cited page that is placed after the last page of your paper, and
2. in parentheses in the text of your paper, immediately after the quotation or paraphrase.

For example, this would go on the Works Cited page (with proper indentation for the second and following lines):

Du Bois, W.E.B. The Souls of Black Folk. Chicago, 1903. Project Bartleby. Ed. Steven van Leeuwen. Dec. 1995. Columbia U. 2 Dec. 2003
<www.cc.columbia.edu/acis/bartleby/dubois/>.

... and this would go immediately after the quotation or whatever:
(Du Bois)

The information in parentheses in the text needs to be as brief as possible. That's why there's a Works Cited page – for all the details of the listing.

There is a good place for information on citing in MLA format.

Hold your cursor over the words CITING SOURCES in the left column and then click on whatever type of source you need help with. Many examples will show up. You will get two examples for each type of reference – one for the Works Cited page and one for the parenthetical (in-text) citation.

You can also see what a Works Cited page looks like – click on Sample Works Cited in the left column.

In other places on the Internet, people have used

(Walt Disney Company, Mulan)

to cite. Is this acceptable too?

Does that look like what's given in that link?

If you are to use MLA formatting, then use it correctly.

Okay, thanks

To cite this quote from the movie "Mulan" in MLA format, you should attribute the quote to the character who said it, which in this case is Mulan. Here's how you can format it in your essay:

In-text citation:
In the body of your essay, when you introduce the quote, you can mention Mulan as the speaker. For example:
According to Mulan, "The flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all" (Disney's "Mulan").

Works Cited entry:
In your Works Cited list, you should give credit to the creator and the medium of the quote. In this case, you will attribute it to the Walt Disney Company. Here's how you can format the entry:

Disney's "Mulan." Directed by Tony Bancroft and Barry Cook, performances by Ming-Na Wen and Eddie Murphy, Walt Disney Pictures, 1998.

In this entry, you include the title of the movie in italics, the names of the directors, the names of the main performers (if relevant to your discussion), the production company (Walt Disney Pictures), and the year of release (1998).

Remember, it's important to follow the specific formatting guidelines provided by your instructor or the MLA style guide as variations may occur.
