Jaden wants to cover the floor with square tiles the same size. The floo measures 315 inches by 108 inches. If she uses only whole tiles, find

A) the greatest possible length of each tile

B) the number of tiles needed to cover the floor.

Each tile must be 9 by 9.

315 / 9 = 35

108 / 9 = 12

A = 35 * 12

Thank you, Ms. Sue.

You're welcome, Ana.

wats b

Um so what's the answer, 35 or 12??

it is not helping me

O.o

Thanks

So all you need to find is the greatest common factor for problem A and for problem B all you need to do is divide 315 and 108 by the square of the greatest common factor and you have your answer.

Thank you, Ms. Sue
