Scolae seems to be a word from which we get our word "school" -- but you're right; there's almost nothing online when you run a Google search for ATHENIAN SCHOLAE or SCHOLAE ATHENS.

Scroll down to Military Titles and in the section on Army, you'll find reference to Scholon and scholae.

If you have looked online and have not been able to find much information about Athenian Scolae, it can be frustrating. However, there are a few steps you can take to try and find the information you need:

1. Refine your search terms: Instead of searching for "Athenian Scolae," try searching for related terms like "Ancient Greek schools" or "education in ancient Athens."

2. Utilize different search engines: While Google is the most popular search engine, there are others you can try, such as Bing or DuckDuckGo. Each search engine may yield different results.

3. Search specific databases or academic journals: If you are looking for scholarly information, try searching through academic databases like JSTOR or Google Scholar. These databases usually require a subscription or access through a library, but they can provide more in-depth and reliable information.

4. Visit a library or contact a librarian: Libraries often have access to resources that may not be available online. Visit your local library and ask a librarian for assistance. They can guide you to relevant books, articles, or other resources on the topic of Athenian Scolae.

By following these steps, you should be able to find some information about Athenian Scolae. Good luck with your research!
