I am doing vocabulary for math and one of the words are negative correction. I search all over the place and didn't find a definition for that word. Help please.

Don't you mean negative correlation?

A negative correlation is a relationship between two variables in which one increases while the other decreases.

By the way, here is a little more help for your vocabulary. "Negative correction" is a phrase rather than a word, since it consists of two (or more) words.

I will be glad to help you understand the term "negative correction." However, it's important to note that sometimes specific terms or phrases might not have universally recognized definitions in every context, especially in specialized subjects like math. In such cases, it can be helpful to interpret the term based on its components.

In mathematics, a correction typically refers to an adjustment made to a value or measurement to account for errors, inaccuracies, or external factors. The term "negative correction" could suggest the presence of a negative adjustment or an opposite correction.

To gain a better understanding of the term within the context you encountered it, it might be helpful to consider the larger concept or topic you are studying in math. Negative corrections could potentially be related to concepts such as error analysis, statistical adjustments, or even negative numbers themselves.

If possible, I would recommend consulting your math textbook, class notes, or asking your teacher for clarification on the specific meaning of "negative correction" in the context of your vocabulary exercise.
