Can someone please help me? I don't know how to work this out, and my friends don't either.
Eight hot dogs and ten buns come in separate packages.
a. Is the number of hot dog packages proportional to the number of hot dogs? Explain.
b. Is the number of hot dogs per package proportional to the number of buns per package? Explain.
if you have p packages of each,
d = 8p
b = 10p
The number of dogs (d) is proportional to the number of packages. p = d/8.
d/b = 8/10 = 4/5
So, the number of dogs per package is proportional to the number of buns per package.
