We had to do a design and write something on it. I want mine to be perfect but have a couple of punctuation questions.

It is a creation myth of the Iroquois.
Question 1. I am saying my picture shows a scene from the "Iroquis Creation Myth". Is this correct? If this was a short story from a book does it get quotations or is it underlined.
2. When mentioning the Sky World is that just capitals or does that get quotation marks? I said she was pushed from the Sky World.
3. When mentioning the great turtle's back is that written regular or should that be in Capitial? I said the girl was brought by the birds onto the great turtle's back.
Thanks for your help.
I spent a lot of time on this and want it to be perfect.

I agree with your first two. But I think it should be the Great Turtle's back.

I'm assuming that Great Turtle is a proper noun.

Thank you for your help.

much appreciated

You're very welcome.

I understand that you want to ensure the correctness of your punctuation in your design based on the Iroquois creation myth. Let's go through your questions one by one:

1. When mentioning the title of a creation myth, such as the "Iroquois Creation Myth," it is generally italicized or underlined to indicate that it is a work or a title. If you are handwriting your design, underlining would be more appropriate. If you are using a computer or typing the text, italics are more commonly used.

2. When mentioning specific terms, like "Sky World," it is generally capitalized. In this case, you mentioned that the girl was pushed from the Sky World, which indicates that it is a specific place or concept in the myth. There is no need for quotation marks around it.

3. Referring to the "great turtle's back," it is written in lowercase unless it is a specific name or title given to the turtle. In this case, since it is describing a specific location in the myth, it should be written as "the great turtle's back" with lowercase letters.

To summarize:
1. You can either underline or italicize the title of the "Iroquois Creation Myth" depending on the medium you are using.
2. "Sky World" should be capitalized but does not need quotation marks.
3. "The great turtle's back" should be written in lowercase, unless it is a specific name/title in the myth.

Remember, punctuation and formatting guidelines may vary depending on specific style guides or personal preferences. It's always a good idea to consult any specific guidelines provided to you.
