  3. Lets assume you want to solve for either x or y.

    1) If you want to solve for x, we have to take y=0. When we fill this into the equation, we get that:

    -4X+0=16
    => -4X=16
    => X=-4

    2) If you want to solve for Y, you have to take x=0. When we fill this into the equation we get that:

    0+Y=16
    =>Y=16
