for my extended essay i need help reword a question. right now it sounds like a "book report" type question and i need it to a question where i can prove it. Here it the question:

Has foot binding effected the culture of Chinese women throughout the ages?

  1. Try this, or some variation of it:

    From the tenth to the twentieth centuries, foot binding affected the Chinese culture -- for women in particular, including those who endured this practice and those who did not.

    It would be better to find a better word than "affected" -- something less bland.
