3x^2+5x-2=0.. i know you would make it 3x^2+5x_ =-2 but don't know how to do the 5x

  1. if youre factoring this then the way you factor the quadratic equation looks like this:
    (3x^2+5x-2)=0
    (3x-1)(x+2)=0 *notice how the the FOIL method works here.
    then to get x you would take each one and set it to 0. making this x=(1/3) and x=-2
