How do I find the total mass of sample in a solution?
I have:
Volume of the solvent
Mass of the solvent
Mass of sample added
I do not know what the sample is.

The mass of sample IN the solution is the mass of sample added. The total mass of sample and solution is mass of sample + mass solvent.
It's easier to answers REAL question (with numbers) rather than general ones.
