You can either use FOIL or the distributive property directly. I tend to use the distributive property directly.
x(5x+25) = 5 x^2 + 25 x
5(5x+25) = 25 x + 125

sum = 5 x^2 + 50 x + 125
(x+5)(5x+25)
x(5x+25) = 5 x^2 + 25 x
5(5x+25) = 25 x + 125

sum = 5 x^2 + 50 x + 125
