@Sara

You didn't spell "lier" right.

It's Liar, just saying.

Cheating in tests is not only unethical but also has consequences. It's great that you realized the negative impact of cheating and chose to take the last three tests without relying on wrong answers.

To explain why some test questions and answers may be deliberately incorrect, it's commonly known as a "distractor" technique. The purpose of including wrong answers is to challenge students and assess their understanding of the material. It helps to differentiate between those who have a solid grasp of the subject matter and those who are attempting to rely solely on memorization or cheating.

Regarding open book exams, it's important to understand that having access to reference materials or notes doesn't mean the exam will be easy. Open book exams typically require students to apply critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills to answer the questions effectively.

Instead of resorting to cheating, it's advisable to study and prepare adequately for the exam. Here are a few steps to help you achieve a passing score of 70% or higher:

1. Review the course materials: Read the textbook, lecture notes, and any additional resources provided by your instructor. Pay attention to important topics, concepts, and examples.

2. Create a study plan: Develop a study schedule based on your available time and allocate specific slots for each topic. This will help you stay organized and focused.

3. Take notes: While studying, make concise notes that summarize key points. This will serve as a handy reference tool while preparing for the exam.

4. Practice with sample questions: Look for practice questions or sample tests related to the subject matter. Repeatedly reviewing and answering these questions will help you become familiar with the format and types of questions you might encounter in the actual exam.

5. Seek clarification: If you struggle with certain concepts, seek help from your instructor or classmates. Ask questions during class or participate in study groups to gain a better understanding of the material.

6. Use active learning strategies: Instead of passively reading or memorizing, actively engage with the content. This can involve summarizing information in your own words, teaching concepts to someone else, or creating flashcards for key terms.

7. Take breaks and rest: It's important to rest and rejuvenate your mind. Take short breaks during study sessions to avoid burnout and maintain focus.

Remember, success in exams is not solely measured by the grade you receive, but by the knowledge and understanding you gain. By studying diligently and avoiding the temptation to cheat, you'll not only achieve better results but also develop important skills that will benefit you in the long run.
