The styles are different. The “ Theme for English B” is a free style and the “Ballad of Birmingham' has rhythm. The rhythm he uses is ABCB, ABCB and so on. The themes for both the “Theme for English B” and “Ballad of Birmingham” are civil rights. They both talk about it. In “Theme for English B” he says that he says” You are white- yet a part of me, as I am a part of you. That's American” . He is a colored person but when he say this in his paper to his teachers it shows that no matter what color they are that they are still Americans and part of the same country because at that time they were considered Africans not American. In a “Ballad from Birmingham” it shows how hard it is to gain civil rights. When the mother refuses to let her daughter go to the rally and tells her that she may go to church, she thinks that it is safer there but it turns out that the girl dies anyway. “ For when she heard the explosion, Her eyes grew wet and wild. She raced through the streets of Birmingham calling for her child. She clawed through bits of glass and brick, then lifted out a shoe. “Oh, here is a shoe my baby wore, But, baby, where are you?” The show the greatest struggle for civil right. This struggle even has to do with losing young loved ones.

As a parent of a k12 student, contacting teachers isn't always that easy. When a student sits down to write they need their answers now and their guidance now. More often than not teachers don't respond for an hour or more. Not all k12 students copy. I think the student asked in an appropriate manner and didn't need a lecture.
Well i understand that the style for “Theme for English B" is a free style. I don't know what style a “Ballad of Birmingham” uses. I know that it is something like ABCB but i don't know what the name is for it. I'm thinking that the theme for both is civil rights but i don't know how to put examples in my answer and what excatly.

Make two lists, one for each poem. In each list, tell what you hear and see regarding each of these topics:
content (story or not?)
organization
rhythm
rhyme

Eventually you should be able to write one or two paragraphs about each poem, indicating what you found and then explaining how you see/hear that they are different and how you see/hear that they are similar.
ABCB ABCB -- that's not rhythm.
You have included far too much of the content of "Ballad..." in comparison to the content you have written for "...English B" -- what you write about each one needs to be countered/parallel with what you write about the other.
You'd be better off to write a paragraph about each one, and include the items I listed above in each paragraph. Don't try to write about the two poems in one paragraph. It's not working.
Thank you, Writeacher! This question comes from online schools affiliated with K12. I am constantly finding students who use these sites to copy answers. Liz, did you ever think of reading the lessons the school provides or of contacting your instructor?
I don't think it's fair of Erin or potato to judge Liz for seeking help. She made it obvious she was just looking for a direction to go and not looking to copy answers. She stated what she knew and was looking for direction on how to form her thoughts better. I know how she feels. Sometimes I look at a question and even if I've read the material I just can't think of what to say until I see how others would answer and then I can get a sense of how to go about doing it myself.
Well, Jacob, the deal is that this student is obviously enrolled in a K12, Inc school, and therefore, has a teacher who she could've contacted. Many times, the answers that students get from these sites are TOTALLY off. I'd rather the student come to a teacher (like me) who can guide her to the lessons that would help focus her.
If all you do is post your entire assignment, with no evidence of thinking on your part, nothing will happen since no one here will do your work for you.
But if you are specific about what you don't understand about the assignment or exactly what help you need, someone might be able to assist you. Ask specific questions!
