Please explain this problem:

25% of 162

See the first post I answered for you.

Rule # one = When you see the percent sign its over 100! so x%=x/100

Rule # 2 = In word problems, when u see the word "of" it means multiplication symbol...well not in all cases but in most cases especially when dealing w. percent stuff.

so 25% of 162 means (25/100) times 162 which equals 41.

But also know that 25% is just saying one fourth of something.....like lets say u said...i am positive i got 1/4 of the test right and assume the test had 162 questions. basically you are saying i got "25% of 162" questions right.

Hope that helped!

To solve this problem, we need to find 25% of 162.

First, we need to understand that when we talk about percentages, the word "of" usually means multiplication. So, "25% of 162" can be translated to "25% multiplied by 162".

To find 25% of 162, we can use the following formula:

25% * 162

To express 25% as a decimal, we divide 25 by 100:

25% = 25/100 = 0.25

Now, we can substitute this value into the formula:

0.25 * 162 = 40.5

Therefore, 25% of 162 is equal to 40.5.
