1st Amendment
Freedom of ….
Religion – an inalienable right
Assembly – Getting together to share ideas.
Press – make information available to people
Petition – As a United States citizen, you have the right to Petition state government and legislatures
Speech – you have the right to freely express yourself - encompassing all types of expression. Including the freedom to create and distribute movies, take photographs, paint, write songs, etc.
People can speak out against their government (if they don’t agree with something it does). They can also have the right to speak or publish their thoughts and opinions freely.

2nd Amendment
The 2nd amendment is the right of the people to keep and use bear arms. A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. The second amendment means that people have the right to have guns to defend their selves, if they feel threated. This also states that the purpose of having guns is to supply police/army groups with guns to defend communities.

3rd Amendment
In the 3rd Amendment, homeowners don’t have to put of soldiers in their homes. No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered neither in any house, without the consent of the owner, but in a manner to be prescribed by law. The government cannot require me to keep soldiers in my home.

4th Amendment
The Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution is the part of the first 10 constitution of the Bill of Rights which protects your from unreasonable searches and servers. The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated. They can search your body, or your house, or your papers and things only to prove to a judge that they have a good reason to think you have committed a crime. If a police want to search my home, they can’t come without a warrant from a judge.

5th Amendment
The Fifth Amendment (Amendment V) to the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, protects against abuse of government authority in a legal procedure. A person doesn’t have to testify against him or herself. There should be NO double jeopardy. Property cannot be taken without payment. For example, I can’t be held for a crime without a grand jury indictment.

6th Amendment
The Sixth Amendment (Amendment VI) to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights which sets forth rights related to criminal prosecutions. We all have the right to a speedy trial and an impartial jury. Right to have a lawyer. The Lawyers know the laws and how to defend a person, which is the benefit to have a lawyer.

7th Amendment
The Seventh Amendment to the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights. We have the right to trial by jury for civil trials. According to this amendment you have the right to a trial by jury, if it is a civil case i.e. a law case between two people or an issue. If you accused of a crime, you have a right to hear the witnesses against you.

8th Amendment
The Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights prohibiting the federal government from imposing excessive fines or cruel and unusual punishments. Excessive hail shall not be required nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted. If someone sues me for more than $20, I have a right to a trial by jury. You cannot be given cruel and unusual punishment if you’re convicted of a crime. The reason why you can’t give cruel and unusual punishment is because; the U.S. tries to be a moral, ethical, and humanitarian nation so the Constitution forbids cruel and unusual punishments.
