Any suggestions for a game?

Hello! I understand you're looking for a game to play with your English learners, specifically 15-year-olds, during a 20-minute class without focusing on grammar or vocabulary. I have a few suggestions for you:

1. Charades: This classic game can be adapted for language learning. Choose a category related to everyday objects, animals, or actions that your students are familiar with. Create a list of words or phrases related to that category and ask students to act them out without speaking. This will encourage them to use nonverbal communication to convey meaning and engage in a fun and interactive way.

2. Would You Rather: This game encourages critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills. Prepare a set of interesting and thought-provoking questions with two options. For example, "Would you rather have the ability to fly or be invisible?" Allow each student to explain their choice and encourage them to use complete sentences and justify their answers.

3. Pictionary: Similar to charades, but instead of acting out words, students will draw them. Split the class into teams and provide each team with a set of word cards or a list of words. One person from each team must draw the word without using any letters or numbers, while the other team members guess what the word is. This game promotes creativity, team collaboration, and vocabulary recall.

Remember, games can be modified to fit your students' interests and the language skills you want to practice. It's important to make sure the games you choose are engaging, promote communication, and align with your class's time constraints.
