Since dilation is linear, if we extend the lines AA1 and BB1 to their intersection, we find that the center of dilation is
C = (27/7,3/5)
So,
CA = 13.66
CA1 = 10.49
scale = 10.49/13.66 = 0.76
check to make sure that B>B1 is dilated by the same amount:
CB = 9.49
CB1 = 7.26
scale = 7.26/9.49 = 0.76posted by Steve
