Find the POI (point of intersection) for the following set of lines:

y=4x-1 and y=3x+4

I know how to plot them on a graph, and find out the POI that way, but how can I find the POI through an equation?

y=4x-1 and y=3x+4

therefore
4x-1=3x+4
Solve for x. Then substitute the calculated value of x into one of the equations to find y.
