For my french class i have to do alittle how-to for around 5 min. It has to be something I can explain to the class in french and then the rest of the class make or participate in. I am in french 4.

I was thinking of making a unique type of paper airplane and then giving them each a piece of paper so they can try.

anyone have any other ideas?

I'll send this intriguing question to Mme (aka SraJMcGin).

It could also be a recipe for a nice dessert, how make a presentation, tips for taking nice photographs, etc.

If you do Origami, the plane is a good idea. Try something that is your hobby, but if you don't have a hobby, MathMate has good ideas.

That's a great idea! Making a unique paper airplane and involving the class in the activity is a fun and interactive way to share your knowledge in French. However, if you're looking for alternative ideas, here are a few suggestions:

1. Origami: You can demonstrate how to make different origami shapes, such as a crane, a flower, or a box. Provide each classmate with a square piece of paper and guide them through the folding process using French instructions.

2. Cooking: Select a simple French recipe that can be made within the allotted time, such as crepes or a fruit salad. Explain the recipe step by step, allowing the class to participate in the preparation and enjoy the final dish.

3. Card game: Teach the class how to play a popular French card game, such as "Belote" or "Mille Bornes." Provide a brief explanation of the rules, distribute the necessary cards, and guide them through a round of the game using French instructions.

4. DIY craft: Choose a simple craft project that can be completed within 5 minutes, such as creating a handmade bookmark or a personalized keychain. Show the class the necessary materials and guide them through the process, using French vocabulary and phrases.

Remember to consider the resources available to you and ensure that the activity is suitable for a class setting. Tailor your choice to your interests and skill set, as it will help you confidently explain the process in French.
