Scroll down to any grade level that has a Scoring Guide in the list -- depending on what grade level you're interested in. Then click on that grade's test so that it opens in Adobe; it takes a minute or few to open, depending on your Internet access speed. Once it's open on your screen, save it to your computer; you really don't want to print it all out! You save it by clicking on the little disk icon in the upper left corner of the document and saving it on your hard drive somewhere.
Then go back and click on the Scoring Guide for the grade level you chose. Go through the same process -- to save it to your computer.
Once you have both the test and the scoring guide, you can see what the essay prompt was in the test and you can see sample essays and their scores and commentary in the Scoring Guide.
