Find the domain of f(x) = (square root (x^2 - 16))/(x + 2)
Two things will restrict your choice of x
1. the inside of the square root ≥ 0
2. the denominator cannot be zero
x^2 - 16 ≥ 0
x^2 ≥ 16
x < -4 OR x > 4
x+2 ≠ 0
x ≠ 2 , but it would be excluded anyway in our first consideration
