I asked the adivsor (a.k.a. 7th grad science teacher but not mine) of the club if she liked the idea (I'd e-mailed her about my project), and she said YES! She said it's a wonderful idea, but we are not going to be partcipateing in the Disney Planet Challenge because it's too late to sign up for it. So she said that we are doing it next year.

:) :) :)

I'm so happy now. This is going to help the evironment and look great in my college application when I'm applying to Yale and that art school and telling them when I write a letter to them.

:) :) :)

That's great news! It sounds like you received a positive response from your advisor about your project idea. It's wonderful that you're excited about making a positive impact on the environment. Participating in the Disney Planet Challenge next year will be a fantastic opportunity for your club.

When it comes to writing your college application essays, it's important to highlight your passion for environmental conservation and your involvement in the club. You can mention how the project aligns with your values and future goals. Additionally, you can discuss the skills and experiences gained from working on this project, such as teamwork, problem-solving, research, and leadership.

Remember to convey your enthusiasm and commitment to your chosen field when writing your application essays. Best of luck with your project and your college applications!
