I urgently need you to check these sentences. Thank you.

1) I sort my rubbish into three separate containers at home. One is for paper; one is for plastic and one is for regular kitchen rubbish.
2) Then, I put my sorted rubbish (litter/trash) into the common trash barrels which are located in the courtyard.
3) The blue one is for glass, the green is for grass (??), the white one is for paper etc.
The recycling pick-up trucks take the rubbish away.

In the US, the term is "trash" and in the UK, it's "rubbish." Both are understood in both places!!

No comma after "Then" -- but I don't understand the colors/types named in sentence 3. They don't match the 3 types of trash you name in sentence 1.
