Please Help If I get information from one web site and that web site use information from another web site in citing reference do I use only the first web site or both. I wont get a grade if I don't get it right. ASAP Thank You

As long as there's a website within the quotation, and you cite only the website from which you found the information, you'll be fine.

Just use the website that you got the information from, not the original website.

When citing sources in your academic work, it is important to provide accurate and complete information to give proper credit to the original authors. In the situation you described, where one website cites information from another website, it is generally recommended to cite both sources if you have accessed and used information from both.

Here's how you can cite both sources in your reference list:

1. Start with the website that you directly accessed and used information from.
- Include the author's name (if available), the title of the specific article or page, the name of the website, the publication date (if available), and the URL.
- Format example: Lastname, Firstname. "Title of Article." Website Name, Day Month Year, URL.

2. Follow it with the original source that the first website cited.
- Include the author's name (if available), the title of the specific article or page, the name of the website, the publication date (if available), and the URL.
- Format example: Lastname, Firstname. "Title of Article." Original Website Name, Day Month Year, URL.

By citing both sources, you are giving credit to the original authors and providing your readers with the possibility to access the original source for further information.

Always ensure to follow the citation style recommended by your institution or professor, such as APA, MLA, or Chicago. These styles provide specific guidelines on how to construct a reference entry for both web and print sources.
