I have to make a chart that shows five interests that are affected by public policy decisions. I am not 100% sure on this and did post earlier to which Ms. Sue graciously told me my 2 originals were ok. I have figured out these 5 but want to make sure they are interests that are affected.

No Child Left Behind
Environmental Safety (specifically like the oil spill that just happened in the gulf)
Health Care (insurance is not had by all)
Veterans Groups ()
Gun safety

Would I need to break these groups down to the specific categories like environemental safety group then break down to specifically oil spills? I just am not sure about public policy and how the interests groups are to be represented.

When creating a chart that shows five interests affected by public policy decisions, it is important to consider the different categories or dimensions within each interest. Here's how you can break down each interest:

1. No Child Left Behind: This interest is related to education policy. You can break it down into specific categories such as curriculum standards, testing, funding for schools, teacher qualifications, and access to education for disadvantaged students.

2. Environmental Safety: This interest is affected by various public policy decisions. To narrow it down, you can focus on specific issues like pollution control, land conservation, renewable energy policies, water management, and responses to natural disasters like oil spills.

3. Health Care: Public policy decisions have a significant impact on healthcare. To provide a comprehensive breakdown, you can consider categories like access to healthcare services, affordability, health insurance coverage, Medicare/Medicaid policies, and regulations on pharmaceuticals.

4. Veterans Groups: This interest is primarily concerned with policies related to the well-being and support of military veterans. You can divide it into subcategories like healthcare services for veterans, disability benefits, education and employment opportunities, mental health support, and housing assistance.

5. Gun Safety: This interest involves policies related to firearms regulation and public safety. You can break it down into categories such as background checks, gun licensing, assault weapon bans, restrictions on high-capacity magazines, and policies to prevent illegal gun trafficking.

By breaking down each interest into specific categories, you can demonstrate how public policy decisions can impact different aspects of these interests. This approach helps provide a more detailed and informative chart.
