Ms. Sue or any other teacher Im done with my essay. I hope you guys like it.

.... = school name
im not aloud to tell someone that I not know of my school online only if someone I know enjoy !!!:)
Here it is

Diversity means the condition of being different. What good about it is that at middle and high schools they have Spanish and French classes which is good because, so that way when you meet French or a Spanish person who can’t speak English you can communicate with them and have fun learning the language. For several schools they have ESL classes for students who can’t speak English. What bad about it is that sometimes you can't understand what the person saying in their native language since they can't speak English. People around the world have their own culture, there’s music, clothes, languages, their beliefs, customs and rituals, food, dancing, and housing.
Culture is the totality of socially transmitted behavior patterns, arts, beliefs, institutions, and all other products of human work and thought. Every religious family has their own culture, for example you see I’m Haitian so as Haitians we listen to Haitian music, we eat Haitian food like rice with beans and chicken. During the winter season, on December 31st, we eat soup for a tradition. The language we speak as Haitians is “creole”. I really don’t speak creole or know it my family besides my siblings speak creole. Haitian Creole language, often called simply Creole or Kreyòl, is a language spoken in Haiti by about twelve million people, which includes all Haitians in Haiti and via emigration, by about two to three million speakers residing in the Bahamas, Cuba, Canada, France, Cayman Islands, French Guiana, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Belize, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Ivory Coast, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, and United States.
ESL stands for English Second Language. ESL is a class for students whose native language is not English. It helps them learn how to speak English. In my district we have ESL classes for student who can’t speak English.
At my school, .... , have Multicultural Committee. Our Multicultural Committee was a 2007 Promising Practice Award Winner as recognized by the National Schools of Character organization. The Multicultural Committee continues to encourage peace, strong character, the unify and strong sense of community in our building. We have started the year with several activities to encourage our goals of creating safe, respectful, responsible, and cooperative environment for our students - Principal, Maria Vergez.
There are many kinds of activities we do like Passport Day; Make a Difference Day, and much more. On Make a Difference Day the 8th Graders had to go on a field trip to do community service while the gr 7th like me stayed at the school and did some activities. In Social Studies we had to write a 3 paragraph essay about what can we do to make a difference, in the world, in our community. I wrote that in order to make a difference in my community we should help the poor and the animals in the shelters. We should also recycle and make sure that struggling students receive free tutoring.
In math class we were supposed to go to the computer lab or to the library to log on Freerice. Freerice is a website for kids where they answer questions on what subject you choose. We were going to answer some math questions. If you get every answer right the website it will donate money to the poor around the world. However we could not use the computers because the server was down.
In English, my teacher Mrs. Langenmayr put our desks around the room like a square. She required that we should take out a sheet of paper and write our name on top then pass it to the next person. We had to write nice things about each other even though we don’t like the person. After the person write a nice thing about us we switch and switch. Later on in the period, after I got my paper back a lot of my classmates wrote that I’m smart and a very good at drawing. Some students even wrote that I’m cool. I felt very good about myself. All in all I had a wonderful time on “Make a Difference” Day.
Passport Day is like in each classroom there is a country like Japan or Jamaican decorated and you try the food they eat, listen to their music, do fun activities (arts and crafts, dancing, etc.), and learn about them it's really fun. We have to use your passport pages in your homework planner to go to each country (classroom).
.... is implementing (to put into practice) several new techniques for behavior management in the 2009-2010 school years. Positive, Behavior, Intervention, and Supports (P.B.I.S.) is designed to manage our behavior in and outside the classroom. If we show positive behavior we'll be rewarded. The school is also teaching us the 4 B's- Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be Cooperative. Cougar P.O.W.E.R is seen when first entering the building and stands for: PROUD, OPEN-MINDED, WORKING, EDUCATED, and RESPECTFUL. The school also teaches us Before You Speak "THINK", is it True, is it Helpful, is it Inspiring, is it Necessary, and is it Kind.
At .... we have a Mission Statement. Our Mission statement is that .... embraces teaching and learning to raise academic achievement for all students, and to develop citizens who respect diversity. Our vision statement is that The .... , in conjunction with our parents and community, is committed to academic achievement for all students and to their intellectual, personal, and social development.
There are a lot of things we do in our diversity in my school. We will continue to consistently celebrate our diversity.
