I need to revise animal sounds. I wonder if there are children's short poems, songs or riddles I can use to memorize them.
1) What sound does the cat (all other animals) make?
I made up a series of short sentences to help memorization.
2) When I arrived at/on the farm, a cat approached me with a loud meow whereas a dog, awakened by the noise, barked at me.
3)I could hear ducks quacking and frogs croaking in a nearby pond.A rabbit was thumping (its paw??) in the rabbit hutch while the pigs were grunting loudly in the pen.
4) Then I went to the stable to see the horses but when I tried to touch a white horse on its mane, it neighed loudly at me.
5) On the next morning I was awakened by the hooting of the howls, the buzzing of the bees (and the chirrupig/chirping/twittering of the birds; which one is best??). I looked out of the window and I saw a shephard leading his bleating sheep to pasture.
6) During a walk in the forest I was scared by the roar of a lion and I heard snakes hissing in the bushes.
