Will somebody please tell me the nitrogen,H20, and carbon formulas????

Thanks!

Nitrogen is N2 molecule

Water is H2O as you said
Carbon is C

What do you really mean?

I am having trouble understanding how energy changes forms.

My homework is asking how a firecracker and a H-bomb changes form.

A firecracker is a chemical reaction. Primarily it is rapid burning or oxidation. This is chemical and involves the valence electron shells outside the nucleus. Basically carbon, nitrogen and sulfur in the gunpowder combine by burning with oxygen in the air to form CO, CO2, nitrides and nitrates and sulfides and sulfates and water.

An H bomb is very different. The reaction is nuclear. Fundamentally two hydrogen nucleii (each with one proton) combine to form one helium nucleus. The actual element is changed from hydrogen to helium whereas with gunpowder the elements remained unchanged and only their links to other elements in molecules changed.

Certainly! Here are the chemical formulas for nitrogen, water, and carbon:

1. Nitrogen: The chemical symbol for nitrogen is N. Therefore, its chemical formula is simply N.

2. Water: The chemical formula for water is H2O. It consists of two hydrogen atoms (H) and one oxygen atom (O). The number 2 represents the subscript indicating that two hydrogen atoms are present for every oxygen atom in the molecule.

3. Carbon: The chemical symbol for carbon is C. So, the chemical formula for carbon is C.

To find the chemical formulas for elements and compounds, you can refer to the periodic table. The periodic table lists all the known elements along with their chemical symbols. Each element has a unique chemical symbol, usually derived from its name.

For compounds like water, the chemical formula represents the type and number of atoms in the molecule. It is determined by the elements present and their respective ratios.

So, if you ever need the chemical formula for a specific element or compound, you can consult the periodic table or refer to chemical databases and resources available online.
