How do you work

5y
____
3y+6

It is in fraction form and it just got me stuck,,,please help!!!!! :(

what do you mean work? There is no equal sign, I am not certain what is the question.

This is what the question said.....

Find all excluded values for the expression.
That is, find all values of for which the expression is undefined.

when the denominator is zero, the expression is undefined.

3y+6=0
y=-2 is the undefined value.

Thanks, what about this one. It says to multiply.

2y and 14x^5y
___ ______
7x^2 y^5

To simplify this fraction, you need to perform division. Here's how you can work it out:

Step 1: Divide the numerator (the number on top) by the denominator (the number on the bottom).

5y ÷ 3y = 5/3

Step 2: Simplify the fraction if possible.

In this case, the fraction 5/3 cannot be simplified any further because 5 and 3 are coprime (they have no common factors other than 1).

Therefore, the simplified form of the fraction is 5/3.
