My question is how did they arrive at 8.6616-72.18g=3.90625+3.90625g
step? Please break it down for me.
72.18=3.90625(1+g)/(0.12-g)
multiply both sides by 0.12 - g , and expand the right side numerator
8.6616-72.18g=3.90625+3.90625g
bring the g terms to the right side, the constants to the left and simplify
4.7554=76.08625g
divide both sides by 76.08625
g = 0.0625
(I did not check that actual arithmetic)
