I have two question
1.In a dehydration synthesis reaction which of the following occurs
a. hydrogen and oxygen are removed from the reactant
b. water is added to the reactants
c. water is broken down into hydrogen and oxygen
d. both a and c
I think it would definitely be a but I'm not sure about c because it breaks down into H and OH so I think the only answer is a

2.In a dehydration synthesis reaction, water is always a product

I think this is true
