Okay, we are doing this Math Excel thing...and it's asking me about the feild name i would use for something... what is the feild name? Is is the subject you put at the top of the row? Or is an option...please help me a.s.a.p someone!!

A field is a column; a field name is the name of that column. It might be A or B or C, etc., if you don't rename them, or it might be a name if you have.

In the context of using Excel, a field name refers to the label or name given to a specific column in a spreadsheet. It helps to identify and organize the data in your worksheet.

To specify a field name, you can simply enter a descriptive name at the top of your column, typically in the first row. For example, if you are organizing a list of student names, you can have a field name like "First Name" in one column and "Last Name" in another column.

By assigning field names, you make it easier to understand and reference your data in formulas, functions, and filters. It helps you to create meaningful and structured data sets.

When entering formulas or referencing data inside Excel, you can use these field names instead of cell references, making your formulas more intuitive and easier to read.
