The slope of the tangent to the curve (y^3)x+(y^2)x^2=6 at (1.2) is???????????

Is the answer -1/2 or positive, or am i completely off?

Perform an "implicit differentiation" with y considered a function of x.

3xy^2 dy/dx+ y^3 + 2 x^2y dy/dx *x^2 + 2xy^2 = 0
Solve for dy/dx, the slope, using values of x and y at the tangent point.

Where do you want the slope? At (x,y) = (1,2) or (x=1.2, y = whatever) ?
(1,2) is not a point on the curve.
