Question: Can MSI (1000 sq inch) be converted into "linear feet"?
Answer that was given: Yes, 1MSI = 6.94 ft
In a previous post I was told to divide 1000 by 144, but won't that just leave me with 6.94 sq ft?
I'm still a bit confused by this, can some one help me understand this?
I don't see how you can convert area to a linear dimension like feet, unless you are know that you are dealing with a square, for which all linear dimensions are equal.
Area and length are two entirely different things. You cannot go from one to the other without further information about the area shape and which side length you are talking about.
