communication

Compose a 1000-2000 word essay in which you do the following:

•Identify a person who is a role model of a communicator to you, and briefly describe the characteristics that make this person a rolemodel of a communicator. Please choose someone you actually know, not a famous person.
•As you write about the person, demonstrate characteristics of a person who communicates ethically and with academic integrity. This means that you should cite your sources, write in a formal manner, and follow all instructions spelled out here and below in the rubric.
•Please support your statements with at least two examples.
Bring to mind a person who is a role model of a communicator. What exactly does this person do to make him or her a good communicator? What are examples of this person communicating ethically? What are examples of this person communicating with academic integrity? How does this person live the NCA Credo for ethical communication?

When you write an academic essay, how would you demonstrate the characteristics of a person who communicates ethically and with academic integrity?

  1. The answer to your question is already there in the instructions:

    When you write an academic essay, how would you demonstrate the characteristics of a person who communicates ethically and with academic integrity?
    This means that you should cite your sources, write in a formal manner, and follow all instructions spelled out here and below in the rubric.

    If you are feeling overwhelmed by the enormity of this assignment and its instructions, just take a big breath and follow the writing process, step by step.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Follow the writing process, whether you're writing for science, history, English, or whatever:
    Prewriting: Brainstorm, research, plan, outline, thesis statement ~ and for this assignment, make sure you isolate and follow every part of the directions.
    Writing: Write first draft by starting with section II of your outline; write the introduction after the body of the paper is written; write the conclusion last.
    Polishing: Revise, concentrating first on the body of the paper, then the intro, then the concl (revision = making sure ideas are logical and sequential and support your thesis); proofread (spelling, grammar, usage, etc.)
    Do you have a thesis yet? Have you done your brainstorming (and maybe research) yet? Have you written an outline?
