History - general phrasing terminology

I'm a student. Whenever I make a statement of my own accord in an essay should I write 'arguably'? Of course I have evidence but my own conclusions, is that what I use?

  1. In my opinion, "arguably" should be used rarely. You, as the author of the essay, can make statements of opinion. Just be sure you've supported your opinion with facts.

  2. I wouldn't overuse any one word or phrase too much.

    Actually, if you write a statement and don't attribute it to anyone in particular, your instructor will take it as your thought, your belief.
