I really need help with question I know its simple but I just cant seem to get it:
Brendan set his watch at 8:30 A.M. At 2:30 P.M. he noticed his watch had lost 5 minutes. How many minutes in all did his watch lose by 8:30 A.M. the next day?
A.15
B.20
C.30
D.25
Assuming 2:30p.m. was by an accurate watch (not his), then the watch lost 5 minutes every 6 hours.
Assuming the watch loses time at a constant rate, then in 24 hours it would lose 5*(24/6) minutes.
