Then distribute the 5 to what's inside the brackets.

Then distribute the -8 to what is in the parenthesis on the right side.

25m-5m-400>-8m+48

Then Combine like terms:

20m-400>-8m+48

Solve to get m by itself by adding 8m.

28m-400>48

Add 400, which would leave you with

28m>448

Then divide by 28 to get the answer to be:

m>16
