What is a node? i'm supposed to label the nodes in a diagram of a wave but i can't find it anywhere

In the context of a wave, a node refers to a point or location on the wave where the displacement is zero. It is a point of minimum amplitude or no amplitude at all.

To label the nodes in a diagram of a wave, you need to identify the points where the wave crosses the equilibrium position (the position of no displacement or the baseline). These points will be the nodes.

Here's how you can find the nodes in a wave diagram:

1. Look for the points where the wave crosses the x-axis (the horizontal axis in a diagram). These are the points where the displacement is zero and indicate the locations of the nodes.
2. Identify these points and mark them on the diagram using a label or small circle.

Remember, a complete wave often consists of multiple nodes and other features, such as crests (peaks) and troughs (valleys), depending on the type of wave you are working with.
