I'm trying to find the pressure exerted by an object that has a force of 180 newtons on an area of 10 square centimeters

recall that pressure is force per unit area or

P = F/A
first of all, we convert 10 cm^2 to m^2 for consistency of units (since the unit Newton is actually kg*m/s^2),, therefore
10 cm^2 (1 m / 100 cm)^2 = 0.001 m^2
substituting,
P = 180/0.001
P = 180000 kg/(m*s^2) = 180000 Pa (note: Pa = Pascal)
we can also rewrite is as
P = 180 kPa (note: kPa = kiloPascal)

hope this helps~ :)
