2x+7=4x+3 ?

3x+6=5x+1 ?

2n+6=8N+3 ?

6N+9=9n+6 ?

If you can do one, you can do them all:

2x+7=4x+3 we want x terms alone on the left so subtract 4x from both sides

-2x + 7 = 3 we want the numbers alone on the right so subtract seven from both sides

-2x = -4 we want the coefficient of x to be one so divide both sides by -2

x = 2

now check
2(2) + 7 = 4(2) + 3 ????
4 + 7 = 8 + 3 ???
11 = 11 sure enough

2x+7=4x+3

You need to get the knowns on one side of the equation and the unknowns on the other side.

Subtract 2x from both sides.

7 = 2x + 3

Subtract 3 from both sides.

4 = 2x

Divide both sides by 2

4/2 = x
2 = x

Do the others the same way.
