i'm working on this essay on y i'm proud to be an American and i wanted to prove some points about what people in other countries can't do, concerning freedoms and rights, that we can. can anyone help me with some examples? thank you!

Many countries have about the same freedoms as we Americans do. However, compared with nondemocratic countries, we have the freedom to speak our mind, criticize the government, publish what we want, and attend (or not attend) any church, mosque, or synagogue. We have the right to vote for our leaders -- although the majority of us don't exercise that right.
