1. If the distance from Amesville to Barstow is 40 km, how much less time did it take Tyler to make this trip than Kate.

2. Suppose it takes Kate 30 more minutes than Tyler to travel from Barstow to Compton? Show or explain how you found your answer.

3. Suppose it takes Kate x more minutes than Tyler to travel from Compton to Durango. Write an algebraic expression in terms of x to represent the distance between Compton and Durango. Show or explain how you got your answer.

I need help there are three questions I just can't figure it out.

so
time = distance / speed

For Kate: time = 40/60 hour = 40 minutes
For Tyler: time = 40/80 hour= 30 minutes,
So the difference is 40-30=10 minutes

3. Work out the answer to 1 backwards.

Tk=D/60

D=Tt * 80 km = (Tk-x)*80 km, or
Tk = D/80 + x
